Our Staff

Our Director's and Coaches have collectively been involved in playing, coaching, teaching and assisting programs for over 40 years.  The staff consist of US Lacrosse Certified Coaches as well as members of the Positive Coaching Alliance, former and current college players. DLC will provide a top coaching staff at the collegiate and high school levels, along with current college players all of whom are up to date with the newest cutting edge techniques.
 

 

 Corei Snyder

 Administration Director since 2014

 Corei attended Oakland University and studied Business Administration.  She started coaching girls lacrosse   right out of high school starting at Cranbrook Kingswood as their head junior varsity coach from 2008 - 2013.   She helped start the Fury program in 2014 and is currently the head coach for the 7th-8th program.  Corei   currently is the lead fall and winter administrator for DLC and its programs.

Mary Ann (aka MA) Meltzer 

Director of DLC 2007-2008 and Coyote Travel Coach and Mentor since 2009

In the fall of 2015 Mary Ann took the head coaching position at Lawrence Tech University.  In the past three years Mary Ann was the head coach at Olivet College where she led the Comets to their first semifinal appearance in school history at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) tournament in the 2014-2015 season.  Prior to Olivet, MA was hired by the University of Detroit Mercy in 2007 to start the first National College Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I women’s lacrosse program in the state of Michigan. MA began her coaching career in 1998 at Seaholm High School in Birmingham, Mich., leading the Maples to three State titles in four years (1998, 1999, and 2001).  She then took over the club team at University of Michigan – Ann Arbor in 2003. In five years as the head coach of the women’s club program, she led the Wolverines to the Intercollegiate Associates (IA) National Tournament every year. In addition, steered the club to a spot in the 2006 National Championship game. MA finished with a 93-22 record at Michigan and was named IA Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2007.  As a player, MA was a two-time All-American at the University of Maryland and was named National Offensive Player of the Year in 1990. Mary Ann played on the United States Lacrosse Squad from 1988-1993. In 2002, She was selected as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference 50th Anniversary Women’s Lacrosse Team. Mary Ann was inducted into the 2012 Michigan Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the Ohio Lacrosse Hall of Fame  

 

 

Lindsay Darling

Fall and Winter Program Director  Coyote Travel Coach since 2015  

Lindsay is a graduate of Oakland University where she was a two-time captain of the club lacrosse team. At Oakland she earned National Player of the Year –Amatacha Award (2016), First Team Division II All American (2014, ’15, ‘16), First Team Division II All League (2014, ’15, ’16), Preseason Player of the Year (2015-16), WCLL Player of the Year (2015-16), WCLA Player of the Year – Midfield (2015-16), WCLA All Tournament MVP (2015), WCLA All Tournament Team (2015-16), WCLA Division II Most Outstanding Player for Midfield (2015), and Oakland University Club Sport Female Athlete of the Year (2015). She broke the WCLA National tournament record for most goals in a single game with 12 goals, as well as the most points in a game, with 13 points. She played varsity lacrosse for Marian High School where she served as one of their captains for her senior season. She earned All League her senior year.

Coyote Travel Coach since 2013 and Coyote Alum (2011)

Katie is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan where she was a two-time captain of the club lacrosse team. In her senior season, Katie helped lead the Wolverines to their first procurement of a National Championship in the history of the team. Katie was awarded the Amtahcha Award as the top player of the WCLA Division 1. She is also a two-time D1 All-American, three-time First Team Conference Attacker, and Conference Player of the Year for 2015. Katie now is pursing further education in Public Health school.

Katie thoroughly enjoys coaching for The Detroit Lacrosse Club. She played for DLC during the summer of 2010, while attending high school at the Academy of the Sacred Heart, and really enjoyed the competition outside of the local Michigan area. She would like to provide her knowledge of the sport to girls of all ages and encourage them to play at any level in college. 

 

 

 

 

argaret  MetzgerMargaret Metzger  

Coyote Coach since 2014 and Coyote Alum (2013)

Margaret is a Senior at University of Michigan, enrolled in College of Literature, Science and the Arts, majoring in psychology.  In her past three years on the varsity team she has earned the Big Ten Distinguished Scholar (2015), Academic All-Big Ten (2015), named Michigan's Unsung Hero Award winner (2014), Two-time U-M Athletic Academic Achievement award recipient (2014-15) and University Honors (Winter 2014). Margaret graduated summa cum laude from Lahser High School (2013) as a four-time varsity letter winner in lacrosse (2010, '11, '12, '13).  As a senior she was Team Captain, Team MVP, US Lacrosse First Team All-American, First Team All-State Division I, All-Oakland Activities Association, OAA Scholar Athlete, Academic All-State and US Lacrosse Academic All-American.  Margaret played for the Coyotes from 2010 – 2013.

 

 

 

 

Brooke Ingraham

Coyote Travel Coach since 2016 and Coyote Alum (2011)

Brooke graduated from Grand Valley State University and was part of the program's inaugural class. She helped lead the Lakers to three straight Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament appearances and three straight Championships (2015, 2014, 2013). Brooke was a Second Team All-GLIAC (2015) recipient and earned GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team (2015, 2014) and GLIAC All-Academic Team (2013) recognition. She was also named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll (2015, 2014) and played in the IWLCA North/South All-Star Game.  Currently, Brooke is working on her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Wayne State University and officiating high school and middle school girl's lacrosse. She is originally from Rochester, MI and attended Notre Dame Preparatory for high school. Brooke was a two-time captain, All-Catholic League recipient (2011, 2010, 2009), and helped lead the Fighting Irish to 3 CHSL Championships (2011, 2010, 2009). She played for DLC from 2010-2011.

 

Lexi Kahler

Coach and Player Mentor for Coyote Travel and Coyote Alum (2014)

Lexi is a Senior at a Newberry College majoring in Communications with a minor in Sport Management. Freshman year she was 2nd on the team in assists and her sophomore year  at Newberry was 3rd on the team in goals. Lexi played for Detroit Coyotes for 4 years and played at Mercy High School on varsity for 4 years. Was 1st team All-Catholic her junior and senior year and was 1st team All-State her senior year.
